Job summary

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a fully cleared Software Engineer 4 to join our Ft. Meade, MD team supporting national security. You will architect and design a new feature, coordinating closely with an Integrated Feature Team to ensure high-quality delivery through the lifecycle.

The role requires strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, OO design, SOLID principles, REST practices, and the ability to guide a feature from concept through testing and deployment. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of related experience.
• Expert in Java (17+ preferred) and the Spring Boot
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles and OO design patterns
• Proficient in REST interface standards and best practices
• Ability to communicate and facilitate cross-team collaboration
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
• Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML
• Active TS/SCI w/ FSP required within 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Analysis & Design: Deconstruct complex requirements and lead the creation of design docs using OO principles.
• Technical Shepherding: Act as feature lead from concept to deployment.
• Cross-Team Coordination: Liaise with Systems Engineering to align on approach.
• Team Leadership & Tasking: Break designs into tasks and mentor peers.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct MR reviews to maintain code standards and security.
