Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Principal Java Developer to architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade web applications and distributed systems across the United States. You will drive end‑to‑end engineering, from business requirements to production‑quality code, deploying cloud‑native services with a focus on robust, secure, and scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep Java/Spring experience, hands‑on microservices, and strong front‑end skills (React).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience building production‑grade enterprise applications.
• Advanced working knowledge of Java (versions 11 and 17), the Spring Boot framework, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience designing and operating microservices architectures, including service decomposition and observability patterns.
• Proven experience developing front‑end applications using React; familiarity with Angular or Vue is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server; knowledge of query tuning and schema design.
• CI/CD tooling and Git‑based version control workflows; release management.
• Hands‑on with deploying to major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong debugging and root‑cause analysis skills and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade web applications and distributed systems.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and production‑quality code.
• Deploy cloud‑native services and support them through their full operational lifespan.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and other developers in an Agile environment to deliver secure, performant applications.
