Job summary

Incedo Inc. is seeking a senior software architect to lead the architecture, design, modernization, and engineering of large-scale banking applications.

The role requires hands-on Java development with deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native platforms. The successful candidate will provide solution design, code reviews, POCs, and complex production troubleshooting, while mentoring teams across onsite and offshore delivery.

Qualifications

• 14-18 years of software engineering and architecture experience.
• Hands-on Java development history with architecture leadership.
• Experience as Software/Application/Solution/Java Architect in enterprise settings.
• Deep knowledge of Java 8/11/17+, Spring/Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and API-first design.
• Experience with distributed systems, Kafka, and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and design for cross-functional banking apps.
• Develop architecture blueprints, reference architectures, and design specs.
• Define components, interfaces, data flows, and tooling for solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for Java/Spring Boot apps and reviews.
• Design scalable microservices and event-driven solutions with Kafka.
• Evaluate landscapes and define modernization and migration strategies.
• Set engineering standards for security, observability, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product, risk, security, and engineering stakeholders.
• Conduct technical risk assessments for security and resiliency.
• Lead architecture reviews and modernization programs with global teams.
