Job summary

Dev Technology Group in Tysons Corner, VA seeks a Senior Application Developer to support an Operations and Maintenance program delivering enhancements across web-based applications for a federal government customer.

You will work with project leadership to intake user stories, design and implement solutions, mentor junior developers, and ensure high-quality production code in a fast-paced mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with five or more years of relevant experience.
• Java web applications and associated frameworks.
• Spring Framework.
• Legacy Java Server Pages and MVC-based models.
• Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Automated unit testing experience.
• CI/CD with Git, Jenkins, or SonarQube.
• DevSecOps and secure code practices.
• Agile Scrum or Kanban via Jira.
• Excellent communication and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, review, and test customer-prioritized correctives and enhancements.
• Independently manage complex development tasks from intake through delivery.
• Provide peer support and mentorship to other developers.
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Engage with the Agile team through sprint ceremonies and Jira management.
• Ensure work is completed on time to support sprint and release timelines.
