CGI seeks a Senior Java API Developer to lead backend API design and delivery. You will drive microservices architecture, mentor developers, and ensure secure, scalable solutions. On-site at client sites in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, or Dallas with weekly presence required.

Required expertise includes Java/Spring, REST/SOAP, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and cloud-native development, with strong collaboration in Agile teams.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience building Java/J2EE/Enterprise Java solutions (Spring, JSF, Hibernate).
• Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services in production.
• Design and maintain APIs and services across payment sources.
• Collaborate with API developers to build features at scale.
• Experience with OpenShift, containerization and microservices.
• Strong REST API development and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive the direction and roadmap for the microservices architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance in Java/Spring.
• Mentor team members and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of code.
