Job summary

Qode is seeking an experienced Java Developer in Pittsburgh, PA footprint with deep Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices expertise. Local candidates only, onsite, with a focus on scalable, enterprise-grade applications.

The role requires 10+ years in Java, strong OO skills, and solid experience across Spring components, API security, and cloud familiarity. You will collaborate across teams to deliver robust solutions and improve system performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and OOP concepts.
• Extensive Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Framework experience.
• Designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Building and supporting microservices architectures.
• Experience with API integration, security and lifecycle management.
• Hibernate/JPA with Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ preferred.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms preferred.
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Title: Java Developer (Spring Boot, Microservices & APIs) Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Local Candidates Only ? 5 days Onsite) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications and should be local to the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development. Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and object-oriented programming concepts. Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and the Spring Framework. Strong experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs. Solid experience building and supporting Microservices-based architectures. Experience with API integration, API security, and API lifecycle management. Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. Experience with messaging technologies such such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is preferred. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus. Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
