Job summary

Tradeweb Markets LLC is hiring a Senior Java Engineer to write production Java code, optimize latency, and own the algo pipeline from data ingest to execution. You will work on fixed income with plans to expand to other asset classes, while modernizing legacy services and maintaining venue connectivity.

You will collaborate with quant teams, operate backtesting frameworks, and ensure efficient, deterministic, production‑grade execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production Java systems, with latency‑sensitive trading infra experience
• Experience with JVM optimization for microsecond to low‑millisecond budgets
• Production FIX experience across multiple FIX versions with Java FIX engines

Responsibilities

• Own latency and throughput end‑to‑end from data ingest to gateway egress
• Design and implement new algorithmic order types and synthetic multi‑leg logic
• Profile and tune the JVM hot path (GC, allocation, lock‑free concurrency)
• Operate the algo pipeline with versioning, backtesting, and post‑trade analytics
• Collaborate with quant team to translate signals into production code
• Maintain venue connectivity (FIX gateways, exchange connectivity)
• Migrate legacy Java 8 services to current LTS without disrupting flow
