Econolite Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure communications networks supporting ITS and ATMS projects.

You will translate requirements into reliable solutions, integrate field devices with traffic management platforms, and provide technical leadership across project delivery. The role emphasizes hands-on networking, cybersecurity, and cross-functional collaboration with customers and teams in field and office settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8-15 years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise or industrial network infrastructures.
• Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site, distributed networks.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking platforms.
• Strong TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, MPLS, OSPF, Spanning Tree, and QoS knowledge.
• Experience configuring and supporting routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and remote communications technologies.
• Knowledge of network segmentation, firewall policies, NAC, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with fiber optic, Ethernet, cellular, and wireless communication technologies.
• Familiarity with SNMP, Syslog, packet capture, and network management platforms.
• Understanding of virtualization, cloud networking, and hybrid infrastructures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and customer-facing support.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in office, field, and operational environments including TMCs and active roadways.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Travel 25% to 50% as required for project and customer support activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize network architectures for ITS, ATMS, Centracs Mobility, field devices, and regional systems.
• Configure and deploy enterprise and industrial network infrastructure including routers and firewalls.
• Integrate traffic controllers, detection systems, video systems, and sensors with traffic management platforms.
• Implement cybersecurity controls and best practices for resilience.
• Develop and execute network testing, validation, and acceptance procedures.
• Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, interoperability, and security across distributed environments.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and customer support.
• Collaborate with project managers and QA teams for successful delivery.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, test reports, and deployment procedures.
• Monitor network performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
