Job summary

NuAxis is seeking a Senior IT Tester – Level IV for a Full-time role in Washington, DC. The candidate will own automated tests across Kubernetes/EKS, Aurora MySQL, and cloud integrations, ensuring performance and reliability for monthly releases.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in software testing with automation, strong CI/CD experience, API testing, and data validation skills, and will work within a federal Agile team using Jira while maintaining a rigorous security posture.

Qualifications

• Requires 7+ years in software testing with automation
• Proficient in at least one automation framework (Cypress/Playwright/Selenium) and scripting (JS/TS or Python)
• Experience with performance testing tools (Locust/JMeter/k6)
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
• API testing and SQL data validation experience
• Experience on federal Agile teams using Jira
• Must obtain favorable NACI/HSPD-12 background investigation

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated end-to-end and regression test suites integrated into CI/CD
• Plan and execute performance, load, and stress testing to meet performance targets
• Perform API and integration testing across multiple systems
• Execute cross-browser and device testing and report results
• Generate test data including masked/synthetic data for PII workflows
• Validate data migrations and data integrity across DB2/MySQL environments
• Triage security/container scans and static analysis findings with DevSecOps
• Execute regression testing for legacy releases and emergency fixes
• Author test strategy and metrics, mentor automation practices
• Integrate automated accessibility checks into the pipeline
