Rutgers University’s Contract Research Collaboratory seeks a Sr. Research Specialist (IT Syst., Security and Compliance) to maintain secure research infrastructure, support validated systems, and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.

You will coordinate with Rutgers IT, sponsors, and research teams, implement security controls, assist with 21 CFR Part 11, and contribute to continuous improvement while enabling scalable technology for translational research.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of relevant full-time IT systems, security, and compliance experience.
• Experience with IT administration, technical support, access management, and change control.
• Familiarity with regulated research workflows and 21 CFR Part 11 is preferred.

Mansioni

• Serve as primary liaison between RCRC and Rutgers IT, translating needs into technical requirements.
• Provide technical support to staff, study teams, and clients, prioritizing service requests.
• Administer RCRC applications and coordinate changes with Rutgers IT or vendors.
• Coordinate ETL and integration requirements with data engineering support.
• Maintain endpoints and documentation for supported environments, coordinating changes as needed.
• Implement security controls and coordinate vulnerability remediation and incident response.
• Support audits, sponsor assessments, and regulatory inspections with technical documentation.
• Lead technology projects and vendor relationships to support research operations.
• Contribute to business continuity, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
