Job summary

Pete & Gerry's Organics is seeking an experienced Senior Systems & Network Administrator to own the design, security, performance, and reliability of our corporate IT infrastructure and network across headquarters, plant, and remote sites. This hands-on leadership role covers enterprise systems, virtualization, backup/disaster recovery, and cloud infra.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in senior IT roles, strong Windows Server and AD skills, VMware/Veeam proficiency, and expertise across

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in systems and network administration.
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking.
Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi (or comparable enterprise networking platforms), VMware virtualization, and Veeam backup solutions.
Experience with network/infrastructure monitoring tools such as Auvik and IT service/project management via Jira or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work on-site at our Monroe, NH headquarters, with occasional travel to affiliated facilities.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize on‑premises and cloud server infrastructure, including Azure Active Directory, Azure cloud servers, VMWare, Hypervisor, Veeam, Windows Server, Azure Arc, Active Directory, Microsoft InTune, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy.
Design, configure, and support the corporate and plant‑floor network, including switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure (Ubiquiti UniFi) for all corporate sites.
Manage and maintain the VMware virtualization environment, including capacity planning, patching, and performance tuning.
Own backup and disaster recovery operations using Veeam, including regular restore testing and documentation of recovery procedures.
Monitor network and system health using Auvik and other monitoring tools; proactively identify and resolve performance or availability issues.
Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) and cloud infrastructure hosted in Azure and/or AWS.
Manage assigned IT tickets, change requests, and project tracking through Jira, ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.
