Job summary

Wood Consulting Services, Inc. in Laurel, Maryland is seeking a System/Network Administrator Level 2 to support and maintain IT systems across client/server/storage/network devices. This full-time daytime role requires clear escalation and hands-on troubleshooting.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph and hold a technical bachelor's degree with extensive SA experience, plus SQL and AD skills; certification options are listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required and ten (10) years' experience as a SA.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Must have SQL and Active Directory experience
• Experience with MIM and Majestic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
• Configure and manage Linux, UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements.
• Build, configure, monitor and maintain virtual environments.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
