Job summary

ARNOLD OIL COMPANY OF AUSTIN is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to install, configure, and support Windows clients, AD, and Microsoft 365 within a corporate environment in Austin, TX. You will manage networking gear, VPNs, and VoIP while ensuring security and compliance.

The role requires strong problem-solving, documentation, and the ability to travel regionally for on-call support. A High School diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Windows clients in a corporate environment.
• Deep knowledge of the Windows operating system, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Strong PC hardware expertise and ability to resolve complex hardware/software issues.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and Windows domain environments.
• Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, etc.).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 identity and security controls, including Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and endpoint compliance.
• Experience with VPN client installation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to detect, mitigate, and recover from malware and security incidents.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions (site-to-site and client-based).
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for end-user applications and remote laptops.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 tools including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
• Maintain system and software license inventories.
• Deploy, configure, and manage VoIP infrastructure.
• Perform rack, installation, and cabling as needed.
• Configure and troubleshoot wireless networks and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure identity, endpoint, and data protection.
