Job summary

Velo IT Group in Dallas, TX is seeking an Information Technology Systems Engineer to lead expert-level IT project execution on-site for entrepreneurial clients up to 300 users. The role centers on designing, deploying, and optimizing network and systems architectures while mentoring teammates.

You will configure Cisco networks, VMware, Windows Server, and cloud services (Azure), collaborating with project managers to deliver end-to-end IT solutions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT experience
• DNS, LAN/WAN architecture, Windows Server, Microsoft 365
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Cisco networking and project implementation
• Expert understanding of Cisco networking: WAN/LAN/WLAN Architecture, Cisco IOS, Cisco Firepower, Cisco Wireless Controllers
• CCNP certification strongly preferred
• Understanding of the MSP industry and multi-tenant IT service delivery preferred
• Implementation experience with servers and cloud computing (VMware, Azure) preferred
• Additional certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Responsibilities

• Specialize in Network Architecture and Administration or Systems Architecture and Administration and deliver projects with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with project manager to deploy new IT systems and networks for client base
• Configure, deploy, and support IT networks using Cisco products (Catalyst, Firepower, Meraki) and related vendors
• Architect and implement software-based networks including Azure cloud networking and VMware virtualization
• Work with systems engineers focusing on VMware, Windows Server, Lenovo servers, NetApp Storage, Office 365, and Azure/AWS
