IT Infrastructure Engineer - Needed for Client Facing Advanced Technology Problem Resolution, Hardware Support, and Systems Installation

Work Type: Full-time, on-site (minimal travel required)
Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 base salary plus incentive bonuses

Our Infrastructure Engineers act as the primary technical onsite resource for Velo, serving both clients and fellow team members. The role is further divided into the Infrastructure Support Engineer and Infrastructure Project Engineer specialties.

The Infrastructure Support Engineer provides onsite troubleshooting, problem solving, and technical resolution deployment to clients on behalf of the Velo Support Team. They are deploying hardware replacements, welcoming and onboarding new client team members, and troubleshooting issues with networking equipment, workstations, printers, conferencing setups, and other onsite hardware. This specialization is primarily focused on escalated support and resolution of reactive problems and requests from clients.

The Infrastructure Project Engineer provides technical deployment of hardware, networking, and systems upgrades to clients on behalf of the Velo Project Team and in collaboration with Project Engineers and Project Managers. They are installing network upgrades, installing and configuring conferencing systems, inspecting third party installations of network cabling and physical security systems, and training client end users on the proper use of these upgraded systems. This specialization is primarily focused on physical deployment of hardware and systems related to proactive project work.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated experience servicing clients in a technical environment required
• 5+ years of professional IT experience required
• Strong understanding of Windows, Windows Server OS, and Active Directory/Azure
• Skills and certifications related to Cisco networking, Microsoft 365 Administration, VMware, and Azure are preferred
• 2+ years of hands-on proven experience with networking, conferencing, and systems implementation preferred
• Strong IT fundamentals are required with focuses on understanding of DNS, LAN/WAN architecture, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365 systems
