Job summary

University of Louisville Health Sciences Center seeks a Systems Engineer III to administer and modernize ULSD infrastructure, including Nutanix AHV, Citrix, Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.

You will collaborate with partners to ensure secure, reliable services while supporting projects, vulnerability remediation, DR planning, automation, and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; four years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is preferred
• Experience with Nutanix AHV or similar hyperconverged infrastructure
• Experience with vulnerability management and security best practices

Responsibilities

• Administer and support ULSD infrastructure platforms (Nutanix AHV, Windows/Linux servers)
• Monitor health, capacity, and performance; plan modernization and patching
• Manage Active Directory, GPOs, and access controls
• Administer Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in coordination with security teams
• Develop automation/scripts to improve operations and reporting
• Lead or participate in infrastructure projects and migrations
• Prepare documentation and participate in disaster recovery planning
