Job summary

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry seeks a Systems Engineer III to administer and secure ULSD’s infrastructure platforms, including Nutanix AHV, Citrix, Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization, and related technologies.

The System Engineer collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure secure, reliable, and highly available technology services while participating in infrastructure projects, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with four years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Grade 8 (Salaried) per internal job grading.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support ULSD infrastructure platforms including Nutanix AHV, Windows and Linux servers, storage, virtualization, and related technologies.
• Monitor and maintain security, compliance, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Lead or participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and performance improvements.
• Develop automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
