Job summary

Exelon seeks an IT Senior Systems Engineer II to design, implement, and optimize complex IT systems across cloud, non-cloud, and hybrid environments. You will collaborate with architecture and vendors, deliver secure hosting, and guide teams on technical decisions.

Key responsibilities include leading discussions, creating architecture diagrams, and providing mentorship while ensuring high-quality, reliable infrastructure for Exelon's enterprise operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Networking with roughly 4–9 years in IT infrastructure or related roles.
• Experience with system administration and hybrid cloud enterprise environments.
• Ability to design, document processes and procedures; lead with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently coordinates with business partners and vendors to gather requirements and feasibility.
• Develops system specifications, diagrams, and implementation plans for secure, reliable hosting.
• Delivers practical, cost-effective IT solutions including hands-on configuration and troubleshooting.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and supports peer code reviews.
• Drives alignment with architecture teams and leadership on strategic IT initiatives.
