Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Sr IT Systems Engineer II to lead design, implementation and optimization of complex IT systems across hybrid-cloud environments. The role requires strong problem-solving, cross‑team collaboration and mentoring of engineers.

The successful candidate will work with IT architecture to deliver secure, reliable hosting of applications and drive innovative infrastructure initiatives across multiple locations, including after-hours support during storms or outages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networking or equivalent.
• Experience with system administration and hybrid cloud environments.
• Ability to design and document processes & procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with partners and vendors to gather system requirements.
• Develop and present plans for architecture, migration, and optimization.
• Design, support, and maintain integrations with other platforms.
• Oversee risk management and provide data to leadership for decision making.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a development‑centric team culture.
