Job summary

Tier4 Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in the Marietta area to support Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint management, networking, and infrastructure platforms. The role involves mentoring teammates and partnering with IT, Security, and Infrastructure teams to improve reliability and security.

Based in Atlanta with a hybrid schedule (3-4 days in office), you will escalate complex issues, perform root-cause analyses, and contribute to a scalable technology

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT engineering or systems administration.
• Strong experience with Microsoft-based enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365 Administration, AD/Entra ID, Intune/SCCM, Windows.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell.
• Ability to mentor Service Desk staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior escalation point for complex issues across endpoints, identity, infra.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve advanced problems.
• Manage high-priority incidents with clear stakeholders communication.
• Administer M365, AD, Entra ID environments.
• Support endpoint management, device provisioning, patching, compliance.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, remote users.
• Create runbooks and technical docs to reduce recurring issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
