Job summary

Fanning Howey, in Dublin, OH, seeks a Sr. IT Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team. This full-time, hourly/non-exempt role requires in-person office attendance, with occasional travel and after-hours support for planned system needs.

You will manage Microsoft 365, AD/Entra ID, MFA, and security controls, while supporting migrations and IT projects. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, AD, Group Policy, Entra ID.
• Knowledge of identity and access management principles.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows desktop and server environments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 components including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, accounts, groups, and licensing.
• Manage Active Directory and Entra ID with user/group admin, GPOs, authentication, and lifecycle processes.
• Support MFA, conditional access, role-based permissions, and other security controls.
• Monitor security alerts and maintain secure tech environments.
• Provide advanced Tier 2/3 support for hardware, software, network, and authentication issues.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and maintain IT asset/system documentation.
• Administer and monitor backups, archival, recovery, and participate in DR planning.
• Assist with migrations, deployments, upgrades, and IT projects.
• Collaborate with staff, departments, vendors, and service providers to troubleshoot and support needs.
