Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Systems Administrator to support a government customer at WPAFB, OH, in person. Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows systems, and build cloud/hybrid infrastructure for AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.

Responsibilities include backups, DR, monitoring, and documentation while aligning with RMF, DISA STIGs, and NIST 800-53. Strong collaboration and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Linux experience (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Experience administering Windows servers in enterprise environments.
• Cloud experience with AWS and Azure.
• Ability to configure and stand up systems with group policy and security controls.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting test or R&D environments and working with DoD stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Windows systems and virtual environments.
• Perform system hardening per RMF, DISA STIGs, and NIST 800-53.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide end-user support.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Implement backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor performance and collaborate to improve system stability.
