Job summary

Fairfax County Government's Neighborhood and Community Services, Technology Services unit, seeks a dynamic leader to serve as lead software system administrator. You will oversee security coordination, system migrations, and staff supervision across multiple critical applications.

You will partner with DIT and external vendors, drive projects through the SDLC, and develop manuals and governance documents. Strong background in IT security, project management, and mentoring staff is required.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and four years of IT systems experience.
• Experience analyzing business processes and developing main business systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead software system administrator for interdepartmental or County-wide systems.
• Coordinate technical resources and direct functional design and implementation.
• Interact with representatives from other agencies on system-related issues and scheduling.
• Identify and test system enhancements.
• Maintain system administration documentation and user manuals.
• Supervise and train staff as needed.
• Develop strategic plans to ensure standards and compliance.
