Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc is seeking a Senior IT System Administrator to support, secure, and improve its Microsoft-centered environment. The role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, networking, security, and server infrastructure.

SharePoint and Power Platform are a plus. The ideal candidate solves problems, strengthens governance, and ensures reliability across cloud and on-premises systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems administration experience in a multi-office environment.
• 5+ years managing Microsoft environments and Microsoft 365 services.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, SMB, TCP/IP, DNS, DFS, and core networking.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint Online, Entra ID, licensing, security and compliance.
• Understanding of Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Copilot, Entra ID, and security/compliance capabilities.
• Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, SSL, VPN, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and security frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud services such as Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure including servers, network devices, storage, and security devices.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Entra ID) and related licensing and security.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and end-user issues promptly and professionally.
• Analyze IT systems to identify improvements, automation, governance, and security opportunities.
• Plan infrastructure upgrades, patches, configurations, and security enhancements.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security to pre-empt issues.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
