Job summary

CarMax Auto Finance (CAF) is seeking a Senior Analyst, Technical Support and Reporting to review and analyze complex IT system operations tickets, provide application support, and mentor junior analysts. The role emphasizes operational reporting to ensure CAF Operations runs efficiently and delivers actionable insights.

The position focuses on interacting with business users, understanding system issues, and developing a visual reporting framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT related course of study preferred and/or 4+ years of experience in a technical/support role
• Experience in coding, tools and concepts listed below
• Microsoft SQL Server scripting and Data models
• SQL Transmitter, DB artesian and Teradata
• Relational DB Design/Dimensional Modeling
• Database Schemas, Data Migration and Scripting
• Security and Data Protection, Security Compliance & Data Storage Solutions

• Authentication/Authorization and Unit Testing
• Automated/Performance Testing

Responsibilities

• Provide business monitoring to CAF Operations by determining key metrics and extracting data using code
• Lead and/or support planning, development, testing, implementation, reporting, and user support for IT systems applications
• Mentor junior analysts in their work
• Debug and troubleshoot basic to complex system challenges
• Evaluate ROI of requests and perform root cause analysis to propose solutions
