Job summary

CarMax is seeking a data-informed Analyst II, Technical Support and Reporting to drive CAF data solutions from our Atlanta-area facility. You will analyze data, build and maintain dashboards, translate business needs into metrics, and support ongoing reporting enhancements.

Ideal candidates have strong SQL/DBMS experience, familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and version control. This role offers on-site work four days per week and potential bonus/equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in an analytical or technical major.
• 1-3 years of experience in an analytical or technical role.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience required in SQL and DBMS technology; Snowflake preferred; Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other major data application acceptable.
• Experience preferred in: SSRS/PowerBI, Tableau, Python, GitHub or other version control software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis, solving basic to complex data challenges.
• Leverage a variety of systems and databases to retrieve data.
• Become a subject matter expert in system data and translate insights into key business metrics.
• Maintain existing business reporting and dashboards for CAF to support business performance.
• Assist in design and development of enhancements to reports and dashboards.
• Learn and utilize different tools and services, and work with mentors to develop technical skills.
• Provide front line support on data-related questions or issues.
