Job summary

Kappa Computer Systems is seeking an IT Support Administrator in Lake Mary, FL. This hands-on role covers desktops, networks, servers, and cloud services, with emphasis on security, backups, and virtualization. You’ll own Tier 2 tickets, implement Microsoft 365, Entra ID, AD, and collaborate with vendors across client environments.

You’ll work in a fast-paced MSP setting, require 7+ years of experience, and contribute to a high-quality client experience while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional IT experience, including supporting business environments with 100+ users/devices
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or technical field, or an equivalent combination of certifications and experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own Tier 2 tickets escalated from our Help Desk, troubleshooting desktop, application, network, server, cloud, and security issues down to the root cause, not just the symptom
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, user accounts, security groups, and permissions
• Support and maintain firewalls, switches, wireless networks, servers, and workstations across client environments
• Use scripting, automation, and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency, standardization, and service delivery.
• Monitor systems, perform preventive maintenance, and verify backups through regular testing and recovery
• Participate in client projects, including deployments, upgrades, and migrations
• Work with vendors and third-party providers to resolve line-of-business and hosted application issues
• Keep clients informed about ticket progress, scheduled changes, maintenance, and outages
• Mentor teammates and share your knowledge
