Job summary

Vertical Talent Solutions is seeking a Tier 2 Support Engineer to deliver advanced technical assistance for Windows servers, VMware/Hyper-V environments, and network services. You will respond to complex queries, run diagnostics, and implement solutions, including on-site client visits as needed.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in IT or equivalent experience, strong English communication, and the ability to guide others on IT projects.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server design & implementation.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V, SAN, and LAN/WAN routing.
• Experience with Exchange Server administration (2010–2019).
• Office 365 and Azure server mgmt.
• Experience with V2V and P2V migrations.
• Familiarity with VPNs, VLANs, DNS/DHCP/TCP-IP.
• Windows 10 install, repair, support, maintenance.
• Active Directory and Group Policy administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead L1 support issues and manage helpdesk processes.
• Oversee end-to-end support of tickets, tasks, and projects.
• Diagnose and resolve complex client computer issues.
• Coordinate with teammates to ensure client issues are resolved.
• Provide reports for management as needed.
• Monitor queues and classify requests as support, task, or project.
• Escalate issues to L3 when required.
• Provide guidance to clients on Windows usage.
