Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks an IT Multi-Discipline Senior Specialist to support the Government Resource Center’s computing infrastructure and data science platforms. You will own applications, lead technical initiatives, and drive secure, scalable solutions across departments at the Health Sciences/GRC.

Responsibilities include planning, engineering, and evaluating new tech integrations, building automation for deployments, and ensuring HIPAA compliance with documented workflows.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background check is required; pre-employment physical/drug screen may be requested.
• Preferred experience with Microsoft 365, identity management, data visualization, CI/CD, cloud monitoring, and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supports computing infrastructure and data science platforms for staff in the Government Resource Center.
• Acts as application owner for computing systems and technical lead for stability, security, and performance.
• Plans, researches, engineers, and evaluates new technology integrations and solutions.
• Implements automation tools for containerized deployments, system administration, and business processes.
• Identifies opportunities to optimize workflows using Microsoft technologies and integrated solutions.
• Implements HIPAA security guidelines and data governance standards; creates system architecture and workflow documentation.
• Communicates complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders across interdisciplinary teams.
