Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 5 years of combined professional experience in software development and data engineering, including building secure, scalable apps and pipelines.
• Experience with Python/Java and SQL on large datasets in enterprise biomedical research or healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize secure, scalable biomedical research and health sciences applications at enterprise scale.
• Perform software and data engineering supporting translational and biomedical research via robust platforms.
• Serve as a technical contributor for enterprise-grade healthcare and research software, APIs, and services.
• Build scalable backend services integrating with large data platforms and create frontend apps for researchers and stakeholders.
• Design, build, and maintain production-grade data engineering solutions for healthcare and research use cases.
• Develop secure, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting and transforming large datasets using modern architectures.
• Leverage Databricks to process large-scale batch and streaming workloads using Python and SQL.
• Develop and support solutions across Azure, AWS, Databricks, Fabric and HPC environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps to configure, deploy, and operate apps and data pipelines in hybrid environments.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
