Job summary

Oklahoma State University is seeking an IT specialist for the College of Veterinary Medicine. The role provides end-user computer support, maintains classroom technology, and coordinates IT assets for teaching, research and clinical services.

You will install and support Windows, Mac, and Linux workstations, set up presentation facilities, and mentor student IT workers while collaborating across CVM and the IT Manager to streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology (conferred on/before start date)
• Experience in leading teams and strong communication skills
• Familiarity with Windows, Mac, Linux support and enterprise environments
• Knowledge of FERPA privacy considerations and data handling

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user computer support and maintain classroom technology environments
• Coordinate IT equipment bookings and asset inventory
• Install, configure, and support hardware, software and networking for teaching and research
• Prepare basic training materials and assist in vendor-supported solutions
• Oversee ticket system, ensure timely resolutions and document solutions in knowledge base
• Mentor staff and student workers, ensure quality of service and cross-team collaboration
