Xcel Energy has a Sr IT Solution Analyst (DBA) opening in downtown Minneapolis, MN. You will manage SQL Server and Oracle environments, lead delivery efforts, and partner with business teams to align IT solutions with needs across energy services.

The role emphasizes documentation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting. The position requires a 4-year degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in similar roles, and strong SQL/Oracle expertise with modern DB

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience required.
• Five years of related functional experience.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall delivery practices.
• Ability to recommend innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement.
• In-depth knowledge of end-to-end process and system capabilities.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• SQL Server DBA duties including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and BC.
• Oracle DBA duties including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and BC.
• Lead and support roadmap delivery, requirements, QA and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with partners to analyze cost/benefit and ensure compliant solutions.
• Maintain documentation and liaise with stakeholders across the organization.
• Assess system health, manage upgrades/decommissions, and measure business value.
