Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Sr IT Solution Analyst (DBA) to join the Minneapolis team. You will manage SQL Server and Oracle databases, lead roadmap delivery, and partner with business units to design cost-effective IT solutions.

The role supports Energy Services across multiple business areas in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate has extensive DB administration experience, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a track record of delivering secure, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position.
• Five years of related functional experience.
• Experience with Project or Product delivery practices, including SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall.
• Demonstrated ability to recommend innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• SQL Server Database Administration including backup, recovery, performance tuning and business continuity.
• Oracle Database Administration including backup, recovery, performance tuning and business continuity.
• Lead analysis aspects of roadmap delivery, manage requirements, QA and deployments.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure compliant and secure solutions.
• Participate in system health assessments and lifecycle planning events.
