Job Description

We are seeking an IT Security Specialist to support county offices by identifying security gaps through risk management and assisting in developing mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience working with current and emerging information security technologies and development methodologies. Responsibilities include:

• Authoring requirements, including dependencies on infrastructure consolidation efforts.
• Defining Security/Information Assurance requirements and dependencies.
• Specifying key architectural aspects and identifying other necessary aspects.
• Researching best practices for reuse, applying state-of-the-art IT security and industry standards, and defining transformation approaches from current to target architecture.

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred. The candidate should have good analytical and creative problem-solving skills, rely on experience and judgment, and be capable of performing a variety of complex tasks independently with a high degree of creativity and latitude.
