Job summary

Make-A-Wish America is seeking a hands-on IT Security Specialist to design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions across IAM, endpoint protection, firewalls, and cloud security. The role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment supporting mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years total experience with 2+ years hands-on design/building enterprise IT security solutions.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security, network firewalls, email security gateways, content filtering, IAM, SSO, Windows servers and virtualization technology

Responsibilities

• Design secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
• Manage/implement security solutions including IAM, endpoint security, firewalls, email security, content filtering and security awareness.
• Proficient with networks, systems, apps, and cloud security.
• Perform risk assessment and vulnerability scanning to identify threats and weaknesses.
• Act as escalation point for security incidents and proactive threat reporting.
• Collaborate with MSSP and IT teams to review alerts and investigate incidents.
