Job summary

Make-A-Wish America is seeking an IT Security Specialist to design, implement, and manage security solutions across our enterprise. The role covers IAM, endpoint security, firewalls, email security, and application security, with hands-on duties through the project life cycle.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of IT security experience (2+ in hands-on security design), and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology field or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of total experience with 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise information technology security solutions
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security, network firewalls, email security gateways, content filtering, IAM, Single Sign On (SSO), windows servers and virtualization technology
• Relevant and Current Certifications Preferred: e.g., CompTIA Security+, PenTest+, OSCP, CEH, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CCNP Security, CISA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
• Manage/implement design, installation, configuration, setup, testing, troubleshooting, documentation of security solutions including IAM, endpoint security, firewalls, email security, content filtering and security awareness.
• Proficient with networks, systems, applications, and cloud security.
• Proficiency with risk assessment and vulnerability scanning tools, technologies, and methods.
• Escalation point for security-related incidents.
• Proactively report possible threats and or vulnerabilities.
• Proactively research weaknesses and find ways to counter them.
• Find cost-effective solutions to cybersecurity problems.
• IT Security representative on IT projects to provide security advice, expertise, and recommendations.
• Conduct security awareness training.
• Planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards and procedures.
• Ensure tuning and effectiveness of security tools deployed across the environment.
• Work with MSSP and IT teams to review alerts and investigate incidents.
• 24/7 Availability for IAM, Security Incident Response and Escalation.
