Job summary

Jobot is seeking an IT Security Engineer to protect our digital infrastructure in a permanent, full-time role in Duluth, GA. You will work with the engineering team to implement security controls, monitor threats, and respond to incidents across systems and networks.

You will design tests, conduct penetration testing, and help develop security standards and policies, ensuring compliance and robust defense for clients and internal systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Systems Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a similar IT security role.
• Proven experience as a security engineer or information security engineer.
• Strong knowledge of database and OS security.
• Hands-on with security systems: EDR, firewalls, IDS, AV, log mgmt.
• Experience with SIEM, SOC, Defender, IAM, Azure Entra ID.
• Ability to prepare reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, methods, and tech.
• Experience designing secure networks and architectures.
• CISSP or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze systems and networks for security issues.
• Install security measures and protect information infrastructure.
• Design and execute tests to identify vulnerabilities.
• Review and implement security changes in change management.
• Respond to security breaches; conduct incident analyses.
• Develop strategies to handle security incidents and investigations.
• Act as focal point for IT security investigations and response.
• Conduct penetration testing to identify exploitable weaknesses.
• Develop security standards and best practices; recommend enhancements.
• Educate workforce on information security and awareness.
• Keep up-to-date with security systems, standards, and products.
