We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated IT Security Engineer to join our growing team. This is a permanent role, where you will be responsible for maintaining the safety of our digital infrastructure, ensuring that our company and our clients are protected from cyber threats. You will be a part of our engineering team, working closely with them to integrate security measures into our systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze our computer systems and networks for security issues.
• Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure.
• Design and execute tests to identify system vulnerabilities.
• Participate in the change management process, including reviewing and implementing security impact of changes.
• Respond to all system and/or network security breaches, conducting incident response analyses to determine security compromises.
• Develop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate investigative activities.
• Act as a focal point for IT security investigations and direct a comprehensive response.
• Conduct penetration testing, simulating an attack on the system to find exploitable weaknesses.
• Develop a set of security standards and best practices for the organization and recommend security enhancements to management as needed.
• Develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach, including educating the workforce on information security through training and awareness.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security engineer.
• Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security.
• Hands-on experience in security systems, including endpoint detection and response, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
• Experience with SIEM, Cybersecurity, working in a SOC, Microsoft Defender, IAM Security, and Azure Entra ID.
• Proficient in preparing written reports and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
• Experience in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
• Professional certification like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods.
• Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management.
• Ability to read and use the results of mobile code, malicious code, and anti-virus software.
• Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention.
• Experience with incident response and investigation, vulnerability management, and security operations.
