Job summary

Varmoda is seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to administer and secure enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises, virtualized, hybrid, and cloud environments. You will focus on vulnerability management, patching, and hardening Windows, Linux, VMware, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration, infrastructure security, or related area.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux environments, troubleshooting, access management, storage, networking, identity, and endpoints.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, patching, risk prioritization, and config compliance.
• Experience administering VMware vSphere, virtual machines, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with endpoint management and asset discovery technologies.
• Scripting and automation in PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Administer and secure Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and cloud infrastructure with baselines and hardening standards.
• Identify, prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities across servers, VMs, endpoints, and cloud resources.
• Coordinate OS and infrastructure patching, validate deployments, maintain patch compliance.
• Support compliance reporting, audits, and documentation of configurations and security practices.
• Collaborate with teams to coordinate remediation and maintain secure enterprise systems.
