Job summary

Western Alliance Bank in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced IT professional to serve as Senior IT Project Manager and Senior Scrum Master. You will lead agile teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and ensure on-time delivery of IT initiatives across the technology towers.

You will partner with Product Owners, remove impediments, monitor velocity and cycle time, and report progress to stakeholders. A strong background in banking IT, Scrum certifications, and hands-on Azure DevOps usage are

Qualifications

8+ years of related experience as a Scrum Master or Project Management.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent.
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or advanced Agile certifications preferred.
Experience leading Agile teams and mentoring.
Experience with Agile project management tools (Azure DevOps or Workfront).
Familiarity with IT systems, SDLC, and DevOps.
Occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

Lead Agile teams and facilitate Scrum ceremonies to enable high‑quality IT deliverables.
Coach teams on Scrum practices and principles to improve performance.
Support the Product Owner in backlog management and requirement clarity.
Remove impediments and shield teams from distractions to maintain sprint focus.
Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
Monitor metrics like velocity and burn‑down; use Agile tools to manage sprints.
