Job summary
Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Engineer, Information Security & Risk, to define, implement, and evaluate IT SOX controls across the organization. You will partner with IT leadership to drive risk-based governance and continuous control improvements.
The role emphasizes leading control design, remediation, and collaboration with internal & external auditors to ensure SOX compliance and risk mitigation across SAP and other ERP systems, with strong focus on process efficiency and risk
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in IT SOX control, IT audit or IT compliance.
- Strong knowledge of SOX; familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, PCI a plus.
- Ability to educate IT stakeholders on control compliance.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Proven risk-based judgement and ability to manage priorities.
Responsibilities
- Design IT controls to support SOX compliance goals.
- Perform IT risk assessments of pilot areas and identify control gaps.
- Monitor and evaluate IT controls for effectiveness.
- Support due diligence in M&A activities and third-party certifications.
- Collaborate with internal/external audit on SOX scope and strategy.
- Lead remediation of IT control issues with IT risk governance process.
