Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Staff IT Analyst II in IT Governance, Risk & Controls to serve as a 1LOD risk professional supporting risk programs across IT. You will partner with control owners and 2LOD to monitor policies, controls, and KRIs, and to ensure timely risk reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT risk management or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with IT general controls, risk and control self-assessments, issue management, remediation tracking, and control testing.

Responsibilities

• Partner with control owners, risk owners, first line stakeholders, second line stakeholders, and other partners to track risk and control priorities and updates through completion.
• Prepare risk and control information by collecting, validating, and organizing data from various sources.
• Execute assigned risk program and business unit risk activities with urgency and within timelines.
• Engage with business units to manage risks and controls across applicable risk types.
• Facilitate meetings with IT and stakeholders to confirm process understanding and document control information.
• Collaborate with 2LOD partners to coordinate updates and resolve open items.
• Assess the control environment to determine whether controls mitigate identified risks and escalate gaps.
• Prepare documentation of review results and recommended actions for management review.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen risk documentation and reporting quality.
• Identify and monitor KRIs to measure risk exposure and trends; implement remediation activities.
