Job summary

Bexar County is seeking an IT Project Manager II to lead multiple technology projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. The role interacts with IT staff, business units, and vendors, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.

You will develop project plans, track progress, and report status to stakeholders while maintaining documentation and tools for ongoing programs. On-call duties and onsite work are possible as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or related field, plus 5–7 years PM experience in a technology environment.
• Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience managing IT projects and working with technology vendors.

Responsibilities

• Acts as subject matter expert, motivates self and maintains urgency and accountability.
• Manages multiple technology projects concurrently and meets scope and budget.
• Prioritizes tasks with IT staff and business units and provides status reporting.
• Collaborates with vendors to assess requirements and ensure functionality.
• Leads meetings and builds schedules, estimates, and staffing plans.
• Resolves escalations and communicates effectively with stakeholders.
• Maintains project management tools and documents for reuse.
