Job summary

MDW Associates is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and support IT projects from planning through execution, with emphasis on integrated schedules, risk management, performance metrics, and clear technical documentation for a complex Department of War organization.

The role serves as a trusted partner to technical teams and leadership, ensuring alignment with IT governance, cybersecurity, and program-management standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple technology projects or workstreams and producing executive-ready status materials.
• Strong technical writing, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and Microsoft Office skills.
• This position requires U.S. citizenship in accordance with applicable government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, performance measures, cost information, and status reports for IT initiatives.
• Coordinate project reviews, working groups, and stakeholder meetings; prepare agendas, briefings, minutes, and action-item trackers.
• Draft and edit technical documentation, including project plans, policies, procedures, standards, user guides, reports, and briefings.
• Support process assessments, root-cause analyses, after-action reports, SOP development, change management, and knowledge-transfer activities.
• Monitor project performance, compliance documentation, budget, and delivery risks; provide recommendations for leadership consideration.
• Support development of controls and performance measures aligned to applicable IT, cybersecurity, and program-management standards.
