Job summary

The NYC DOT IT Project Management Office is seeking a seasoned Project Manager Consultant to lead in-house and contractor teams onsite at 55 Water Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY. You will define scope, develop schedules, monitor budgets, and deliver complex applications for permits, inspections, and road maintenance.

You will apply SDLC practices (Agile Scrum/Waterfall), manage risks, supervise programming staff, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience overseeing medium to large scale projects.
• Experience coordinating teams over 15 members and managing multi-stream work.
• Proven ability to liaise with agency stakeholders on scope, reporting, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, develop schedules, monitor budgets and deliverables.
• Lead in-house and consultant teams; mitigate risks.
• Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery and QA processes.
• Advise on technology options and SDLC processes.
• Communicate expectations clearly to team and stakeholders.
• Maintain project plans with milestones and resource allocation.
• Utilize tools like MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Primavera.
