Job summary

The Metropolitan Council, the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, seeks a Senior IS Project Manager to lead IT projects within the IS PMO framework. You will guide planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, coordinating with stakeholders and vendors to ensure on-time delivery.

The role supports hybrid work (remote and onsite) in Minnesota and requires managing multiple mid-size IT projects with strong leadership and governance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with nine years of IT/project management experience.
• Associate degree with seven years of IT/project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree with five years of IT/project management experience.
• Master's degree with three years of IT/project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management direction to staff assigned to projects.
• Facilitate the development of the project plan and document tasks for stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to ensure successful completion.
• Manage the development of more than one mid-size IT project simultaneously, coordinating with various work units.
