The Metropolitan Council’s Information Services division seeks a Senior IS Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple mid-size IT projects within the PMO framework. You will define scope, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with sponsors, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery.

You will supervise project teams, develop charters, plans, and status reports, and drive governance processes across divisions.

Qualifications

• Education and experience combinations as listed (degree field and IT/business project management).
• Experience managing IT and business projects is required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of PMI lifecycle and project management methodologies.
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate cross‑functional work.

Responsabilités

• Meet with project sponsors and stakeholders to define scope, requirements, and success criteria.
• Lead execution of projects, manage resources, schedules, and budgets to meet scope, cost, and quality.
• Identify resources and assign responsibilities across departments or units as needed.
• Communicate progress and next steps to sponsors and executives through written and verbal updates.
• Collaborate with PMO and other divisions to align projects across the Council.
• Be part of the IS Project Management Office and drive governance across projects.
