Patterson Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead large, high‑visibility projects from initiation to closure. The role drives project deliverables, budgets, and schedules while mentoring other PMs and coordinating across IT and business teams.

The position is hybrid (2 days in office within 50 miles of Mendota Heights, MN) with collaboration at the corporate offices. You will craft plans, manage risks, and report progress to executives, ensuring successful deployments and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of project management experience across IT and non-IT
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies and collaborating across departments
• Ability to communicate with business leaders and cross-department teams
• Willingness to travel domestically and international 0–10% (as needed)

Responsibilities

• Lead large and/or critical projects from initiation through closure across multiple departments.
• Create and maintain charters, scope documents, WBS, schedules, communication plans, and status reports.
• Develop templates and process flows; mentor other PMs and coordinators.
• Manage budgets, resources, risks, and vendor engagement; ensure on-time software releases and milestones.
• Provide executive summaries and clear status updates to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sponsors, vendors, and internal teams to drive corrective actions when needed.
• Document lessons learned and post-mortem outcomes for future improvements.
