Job summary

Minnesota City Jobs is seeking a Senior IS Project Manager in the Information Services group. You will provide leadership and management direction to project staff, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, transitioning to operations, and closing projects.

Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful outcomes. This role manages more than one mid-size project simultaneously and supports governance via IS PMO templates and processes.

Job description

Our Information Services (IS) department of 140+ members provide IT support to all Council divisions.

The Senior IS Project Manager provides leadership and management direction to staff assigned to projects, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, transitioning to operational support, and closing out projects. Utilize the IS PMO governance process and templates within the general project and serve as the Project Manager within assigned projects. Facilitate the development of the project plan and documenting project tasks for both internal and external project team members, stakeholders, and consultants or vendors to ensure successful completion of projects.

This position is responsible for managing the development of more than one mid-size project simultaneously that requires collaboration and coordination with various work units.

This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
