Jefferson County is seeking an IT Project Manager III to lead large, complex technology projects with organization-wide impact. You will plan, execute, and deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating sponsors, departments, and vendors.

With a four-day work week and hybrid options, this role emphasizes risk management, stakeholder communication, and adherence to PMO standards to drive successful implementations.

Qualifications

• Education: 3 years of work-related experience.
• Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology projects through planning, execution, and implementation; coordinate stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans with scope, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and resources.
• Lead cross-functional teams; manage resources, vendors, and consultants; ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Develop and manage project budgets; forecast costs and report financial status.
• Monitor progress, report on timelines and risks; maintain PMO-compliant documentation.
• Evaluate change requests; assess scope, schedule, and budget impacts; obtain approvals.
• Proactively identify risks and barriers; propose mitigation and resolutions.
• Coordinate organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, and communications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field
